President’s Message

Dear Members of NNHRA and SHRM,

I’ve been fortunate enough to watch our organization grow since 2007 and I’m so impressed with how far we’ve come. Many of you may not know that aside from our wonderful Administrator, Allison Parks, we are a 100% volunteer organization. We have been propelled to where we are today, a Mega-Chapter of SHRM, by a long list of HR Industry Professionals who have a passion for Human Resources and improving the lives of the people who work for their organizations.

A renaissance is occurring in workplaces around the world with employees demanding better workplace culture and a new work/life balance that is changing the way we approach Human Resources. We can choose to listen to our employees or risk losing our best talent. Even in just the last 5 years, we’ve seen workplace issues take center stage as some of the largest employers in the world have grappled with problems that could have been solved by a more diligent focus on Human Resources.

SHRM is leading the charge with difficult discussions resulting in innovative ideas that are revolutionizing the employee experience. Our mission statement at NNHRA is “We inspire and educate Human Resource Professionals to be the best of the best because the best make business happen.” This is true more now than ever as business owners and CEOs are starting to pay more and more attention to their HR leaders and relying on us to revolutionize the experience their employees have. We have always understood that employees are exactly that, Human Resources. At NNHRA, we help our members diligently protect their people resources, stay on top of trends within the industry, increase access to educational opportunities and most importantly - help our members make their organizations a better place to work.

As your 2020 NNHRA Chapter President, I’m excited to lead us into this new era for our industry and provide our members with the tools and education they need to take their organizations to new levels of success! If you’re in HR and haven’t joined SHRM and NNHRA, you’re missing out on the most valuable resources available to HR Professionals. Join today!

    Sincerely,

    Johnny Skowronek
